Round 1 Reaction/Recap + Top Players Available + 2nd Round Mock - 4/30/21

Round 1 is in the books and I personally am super excited for what my Miami Dolphins pulled off. I won't get super into that since these articles are more meant to cover the NFL generally, but yea... am excited. This article is just meant to be a quick reaction based on what went on during the draft yesterday about the players, teams, and some of the weird things that happened along the way. I also included the 1st round picks below if you missed any yesterday, my top 20 players available going into Day 2, and a Round 2 mock. I'd love to hear about how you guys enjoyed or hated your teams selection(s) last night in the comments or on twitter . _______________________________________________________________ The First Round 1. JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS: QB Trevor Lawrence, Clemson 2. NEW YORK JETS: QB Zach Wilson, BYU 3. SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (from MIA via HOU): QB Trey Lance, North Dakota St 4. ATLANTA FALCONS: TE Kyle Pitts, Florida 5. CINCINNATI BENGALS: WR Ja'Marr Chase, LSU 6.

We made it. There is a sense of relief for me knowing that we are here but it also feels like a goodbye which I am terrible with. Enough with the sappiness though. As an FYI, THIS MOCK IS PREDICTIVE. It isn't always the pick I would make but rather what I think could/will happen and also is set up in a way to get the most possible points in mock draft competitions. The scoring for these competitions is simple. 1 point for selecting a player correctly in the 1st round. An extra point for slotting the player and the team correctly. Ex: If I put Zach Wilson at #1 to the Jags, I would only get 1 point because they are going to take Trevor.   I normally am not very promotional. I don't normally care about a lot of people seeing my stuff, I do this because I enjoy it 99% of the time. However, the Draft is a very important time of year for me. I'm not sure why but I put a lot of time and effort in every year. Basically, this is a longwinded way to say if you enjoyed this mock, or

AFC + NFC East Pre-Draft Breakdowns AFC + NFC South Pre-Draft Breakdowns   __________________________________________________________________________ Cincinnati Bengals 2021 Draft Capital:  Total Picks: 8 1st Round: 5 2nd Round: 38 (6) 3rd Round: 69 (5) 4th Round: 111 (6) 5th Round: 149 (5) 6th Round: 190 (6), 202 (18) 7th Round: 235 (7) Team Needs: WR, EDGE, OGx2, C; Team Wants: ILB, TE, CB The Bengals need to prioritize Joe Burrow's development at all costs. That means surrounding him with better offensive line play so he doesn't tear his ACL again. That also means maximizing the playmakers around him. The RB position is the only spot that doesn't need any help, but I have a weird tho
