Top 32 Big Board 1.0 for the 2021 Draft - 2/26/21

I know a lot of Draft Twitter normally does Top 50 Big Boards or even larger for some people. Unfortunately, I don't watch tape. I watch the games, see the highlights, watch specific snaps on Twitter, and take bits and pieces from a lot of different analysts to shape my opinions on these players. It is still February and because of that, I know the top guys pretty well. But once we get towards the back end of the 1st round, my knowledge kind of dwindles of who I know. So February and March is a lot of research that I do annually (which is partially me creating this article and learning about all these players). This year is tougher than in previous years because of opt-out players. The ones at the top like Chase, Parsons aren't too hard. But guys like EDGE Joe Tryon from UW, EDGE Greg Rousseau from UM, or OT Dillon Radunz from NDSU... they either didn't play or had 1 game in 2020. Hardly enough for me to go off of.  So, similar to my mock draft, I will get better at this as

Let's Talk About... 2021 Franchise Tag Candidates - 2/24/21

First, a quick update on the content you should expect to see over the next week or so. For Friday's article, my plan is to release my Top 50 Draft Prospects Big Board for the 2021 Class. Keep in mind these are going to be rankings done for players that I THINK are better than other players (not team/scheme specific). It is not indicative of a mock draft as needs and wants vary by team. It also doesn't take into account the importance of positions like a mock draft will, so you will see RBs, LBs, Safeties, etc. Next week, I plan on releasing Mock Draft 2.0 with my completed Team Needs series and the Big Board as major influences on the mock. This will be the last mock (besides the final version) that will not include trades. There are too many variables still like free agency, franchise tags, salary cap casualties, etc. Anyways, if you have any ideas for content you'd like to see you can let me know, or I will continue on with my path. Enjoy the article!   _________________

Monday Minute: Carson Wentz is Traded Edition - 2/22/21

We had some rather large news come across my desk on Thursday. I told Twitter, follow me at @KyleTheCommish if you already don't, that I wanted to finish out my Team Needs series and then I would discuss Wentz in detail. However, there were also quite a few other newsworthy topics last week. I will hit on those first and the meat will be what Wentz will be cooking up in Indy. No more delays.   __________________________________________________________________________ I don't know how I missed this in last weeks Monday Minute... but the Pouncey twins, Mike (Chargers C) and Maurkice (Steelers C), both announced their retirement over a week ago. This is rather big news for both teams that have big OL issues this offseason. The Steelers are losing their LT, RT, and rotational OL (6th man) on top of Pouncey with very little cap room to work with. Maurkice retiring did save the team $8M in cap space, but that only brings them to $22M over the cap. Meanwhile, the Chargers haven'

Let's Talk About the 2021 Offseason Needs for... the NFC + AFC West - 2/19/21

Remember last week when I said that the North and West divisions cap space would be reflective of a new number approx $5M higher than the East and South divisions numbers? Well, on Thursday, the NFL sent out a memo that the Cap would be no lower than $180M (the number I am using for the North and West). That's good news for the articles, but also good news for all NFL teams especially those like the Saints, who are in cap hell right now. It could still increase and some people think $185M is where the number will fall. We shall see. This is the final instalment of this series and I hope you did enjoy it. They were a bear for me to write and get the motivation to do, but I know it's good information for myself and also a good opportunity for you all to get to know the teams a little better. My point in this 4-week series is to get into the nitty-gritty of what teams want (where they want to upgrade) vs what teams need. I will look through the lenses of ideal roster construction,
